Touched...

It has been over 9 months since I have last posted...
I could not post anything more beautiful then the good news of my youngest son receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost at old fashioned altar in an amazing Apostolic service.
It was the day before my 46th birthday, April 7, 2013, on a Sunday night. My son, Julian, was apprehensive at first but decided to worship down front with me. It was just another Sunday night, with great preaching, wonderful music and amazing worship. He quietly raised his hands as I began to pray behind him. There were many people around us doing the same thing. I stood behind him as the tears began to fall, at that moment I realized I was not the only one praying for my son. His father, men of God, young people, older people... If he wanted to stop now, there was no way out of praising and worshiping God with so many praying in encouragement and in unison for one purpose... For Ju to be filled with God's spirit.
It was amazing to watch this young child pray fervently for the touch of his Savior. Ministers layed hands on him, prayed with him and spoke to him... Julian didn't even realized what was happening until he felt the power of the Holy Ghost... I was pulled to move in front of him so I could see what was happening... As the tears began to fall, Julian realized the touch he had been praying for was finally here... Being filled with Gods wonderful spirit,  the power of the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongues.
I have to say... I am one happy mommy and he was one happy little guy; after three years of seeking, he was deeply 'TOUCHED' and blessed beyond measure.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Sassy's Last Day...

Sunday, June 15th, was a very stressful, emotional, and exhausting day. Our little mutt, Ms. Sassy had to be put to sleep, she had been with us for 17 years. She had been ill for quite some time and we knew her time was getting close. It had only been in the last couple months that she seemed to have been getting worse. With our financial hardships we were unable to do the test (that would cost us an enormous amount of money) to 'dignose' the issues going on in her feeble body.
We babied her and tried to make her comfortable in the last stages of her life, but when is was evident that life was just seeping out of your little body, I had to take her in....
If you have never had to put a dog down, it is the most horrible and heart breaking thing to do... This was our second time doing it (we had a chocolate Lab, 10 years ago, that was 12 1/2 years old we put down) and it didn't make it any easier. I was such a mess I couldn't even speak to the vet over the phone about bringing her in... I called my husband who had just left to work and emotionally fell apart. He was horribly saddened he was not and could not be with us to do this very thing.
Once I gained some composer I made my son, Sean, come with me and Julian came along as well. As soon as we walked in the people at the vet were extremely kind to us and very comforting... they put us in a room and we loved on Sassy... She would just look at us and not move her little body... Julian was a mess.
I knew it probably wasn't a good idea to have my 9 year old in the room with us, but I was torn whether to have him experience this in his life or be sheltered from it. In the end he stayed with us and was emotionally frazzled... The Dr. examined her and told us, it was time... she lived a long good life, I was in tears. I knew Sassy was suffering and this was the kindest thing could do for her, but it still was so hard for me. My heart broke into a million pieces, Julian's little heart was shattered and Sean couldn't keep the tears from falling. We were all heart-sick...
As soon as Sassy was no longer with us, we just held each other and cried big sobs of tears... I wished my husband was with us and I was sad Cynthia was at work and not able to be with us as well. :((( So, so sad indeed.

After we said our good-byes we came home to two beautiful girls waiting for us... They wagged their tails and came to our feet with all the loyalty and love dogs have for their owners. I am thankful they were here to soften our broken hearts but I really think they knew something was different. Julian couldn't get over the fact that the dogs knew we left with Sassy and came home without her... he made himself sick over this.
We really had a hard time the rest of the day... Our emotions were over the top and we couldn't stop crying.. It was draining and exhausting. I knew in my mind once everyone got a good nights rest, everyone would feel better. And as the days go by our two girls have made our days better and easier.

I'm thankful for my little family and the bond we have created within our little core. I count this as a blessing from the LORD; another manifestation of God's wonderful mercy and grace working in our lives.

A long run with Danny

Danny was given a route of some sorts that would take him away from home for a few days. I cleaned his cab, fixed his bed with clean sheets, and put a few clean shirts in his little closet... readying him for this trip. I wrote out a list of things I needed to do while he was gone; finding a school for Ju, looking for a job, calling important people for other things that had come up.
On Sunday a sister in the church heard about his next job run... she offered to watch Julian so I could go (because of me being unemployed, a nice distraction from unsettling things that took place with my job and school). I was extremely distracted in my soul and felt I had entered another whirlwind, but I knew the Lord had it all under control, i needed to leave it in His hands and let the Lord do what He does best... take care of me =')
But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,
and will be secure, without fear of evil.
Proverbs 1:33
We told her we would think about it... It set the stage in motion in Danny's thought process. He insisted I and Julian go with him on this trip... I did not want to go. Julian was extremely insistent on going with daddy, I could not say, no to Julian... *sigh* I guess, we'll go.
I hesitantly fixed a clothing bag and all the necessities we would need to keep us comfortable on this trip. Tuesday morning, early morning (2am) we were up and heading to the truck. I still didn't want to go. We loaded up the truck with Ju'z and mine belongings, put him in the bunk, sleeping, and I sat myself in the passenger seat thinking about all the things that needed to be done at home.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.
Psalm 32:8
God always knows what He is doing. Yes, I put a lot of account in my life as the Lord's leading... he has done so much for me and has brought me so far, I do not underestimate His love and power in my everyday life. I give Him praise for the next breath I breathe and give Him honor for the next step I take. I love Him for the things He brings my way and love Him the more for bringing me through them. So Yes, I put a lot of praise in my life for Him. In everything that comes my way I need to learn to put my trust in Him, for He knows, better than myself, what He is doing.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5
Being away for five days, I was not thinking about anything but the wonderful sights i was seeing and the many grounds of miles we were traveling. it was like i was being taken away from all of life's issues. I needed to recap, reset my mindset to God's ways, i read His word, prayed and sang many songs. My husband enjoyed my company and I in turned enjoyed his and Ju'z. It was a wonderful time to think of nothing else but my little family and God.
The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong, and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11
Thank you Jesus for this time with my husband and my little Julian. i know you have our life in your best interest, for that I am grateful. I will do my part and trust in you...

Children are a heritage from the LORD

 Nehemiah 12:43 NKJV
"Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and the children also rejoiced, so that the joy of [Jesus Name Lighthouse] Jerusalem was heard afar off."

Matthew 19:13-15 NKJV
"Then little children were brought [forward] to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray... [But Jesus said], “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” And [we] He laid His hands on them..."

1 John 2:12 NKJV
I write to you, little children, [Because] your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.

Matthew 18:3-5 NKJV
"[HE] said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me."

Children are NOT the church of tomorrow but the church of TODAY!! They are the heartbeat of the church and know how to reach God better than some of us... Their worship and praise is genuine and comes from a pure heart. You need prayer? Ask a child to pray for you, you may be surprised at the outcome, their faith is sure and steadfast in the one they love; Jesus Christ!
There are no bounds in a child's love for God or toward anyone for that matter. We love our children at JNL and Praise God for the wonderful things HE is doing to and for them. I love Sundays like this when our children are brought forth and given the liberty to worship and reach heaven with all their little beings... It is the greatest gift of all. The Bible tells us to be as one of these with a humble spirit or we will not see the kingdom of heaven. Help me [us] Lord to be as a little child, in faith, worship, praise, love, and in receiving all that you have to offer.
"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward."
Psalm 127:3

We had a glorious time at JNL this beautiful Sunday morning. Praising and Worshiping God was our morning service, indeed what a beautiful day in the Lord *sigh* Revival and touching souls is what matters in the church!!
"praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church[a] daily those who were being saved."
Acts 2:47 NKJV

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you..."

Acts 2:38 (King James Version)
38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 6:3-5 (King James Version)
3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Galatians 3:27 (King James Version)
27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

1 Peter 3:21 (King James Version)
21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

2 Corinthians 5:17 (King James Version)
17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

My heart is overwhelmed with the goodness of God. Our littlest person in our household decided to 'Get LINKED-UP with Jesus' as he puts it.

Our Pastor made sure to come by the house and share some scriptures with him to make sure Ju understood the significance of baptism. I was surprised at how Julian just eat it up and new this is what he really wanted to do.
What started this whole baptism idea was that our church has been experiencing such revival and spiritual freedom... that Julian would leave the church saying "Mom that was the best church Iv ever been in". Then we began to have baptisms and he wanted to be a part of all that was going on.
He began to pray more and worship during the service and seek God at the altar. We were touched to say the least. I was in tears all the time with such thanksgiving for what Jesus was doing to our little family.
I’m so thankful to God today for Julian’s decision to began a life with Christ. We will continue to teach and guide this little person in the things of God to the best of our abilities and God will make Ju to be who He would want him to be.
A mother’s heart is more than proud to say the least. I love you Ju!

"Come look at what God made just now, A rainbow!!"

I was getting off work and Cynthia and Sean came to pick-up Julian and me from school. When we came out there was a rainbow so bright from end to end. It sent Julian flying back toward his classroom where all his classmates, were still waiting to be pick up from school. Shouting "Mrs. Roberta! Mrs. Roberta! Come look at what God made just now, a rainbow! a rainbow!!"

Mrs. Roberta told me that it sent chills up her spine. She began to look around to see where the voice came from... lol...

I work and Julian goes to the same school. It is a private school, but not christian. As a matter of fact very worldly. Julian never hesitates to speak about God or tell his teachers or friends about how much he loves God. I'm so thankful for his precious little heart and the love that he has already developed for our wonderful Savior...

The teacher and all the children that were left came running out to see the rainbow that God made at that instant and everyone was amazed... honestly it was absolutely beautiful!!! I have an old digital so this pictures doesn't give it justice.

The staff is always making comments about me and my family... they see that there is a difference in our relationship as a family. They have been curious about things that are obvious, being an apostolic woman, and have asked, but I believe that God is my protector and that God is working on some of the staff that I have met with on off days...

I'm so thankful to God that we have the truth and we know the one true living God. I'm so thankful to God for the boldness and innocence of a child, who knows no risk and speaks what is on his heart.

When Julian laughs

Sunday, April 06, 2008

When Julian laughs he brings a smile to my lips,
It makes me thankful that I did not quit.
I sought for peace in a time of dispare,
Knowing that no matter what there is a God that cares.
He restored all life a new and brought me closer to you,
With love so real and so true,
that I am no longer singing the blues.
So when Julian laughs and brings a smile to my lips...
He makes me thankful that I did not quit.
